| About
The Darien Father's Day Collector's Car Show celebrates fathers, families, fun and fine cars all in the lovely setting of Tilley Pond Park.
Once again, the show will be set on rolling lawns beneath mature shade trees along the perimeter of beautiful Tilley Pond in Darien. This year marks the fifth consecutive year of the show and our fourth in the park.
The show was founded five years ago by Deb Randall and Charlie England to benefit the Darien Revitalization Initiative to encourage visitors to downtown Darien. Last year, the Aging in Place in Darien initiative became our beneficiary. All net funds help our seniors stay in their homes as long as possible. Charlie England assumed responsibility for managing the show last year.
During our first four years, the Connecticut Valley Region of the Porsche Club of America hosted a concour’s event in Norwalk on Father’s Day. Over the winter, we decided to join forces on Father’s Day in Tilley Pond Park. We are delighted to have CVR/PCA with us and to celebrate their presence; we have chosen Porsche as the “featured Marque” for 2010 show. Because of the large number of cars expected, all non-Porsche entrants will be by invitation.
